The NOG social is being hosted by NOG committee member Juliette Harkin, in a small 1/3 acre private garden she tends with husband Rupert. The garden is a new project and for the past season has been planted up with more than 15 fruit trees and a TCV wildlife hedging pack along Star Piece public path. Everyone is welcome, children can explore but should wear sturdy shoes.
Transport: number 85 bus from Norwich city centre bus station stops at School Lane on The Street, Rockland (tell the driver you want this stop) - check timings (St Mary's Close is at the end of School Lane), car parking at property on private drive contact Juliette if any questions - 07740818376. We encourage car sharing where possible please! You can cycle and there is plenty of space for bikes - will take a good 45 minutes from city centre, one way. You can also park close by on The Street in the Parish Council car park, Black Horse Dyke Car Park for free (a 5 minute walk from the venue). Or you can park at the Rockland St Mary Staithe car park and walk through the village to the property, if you want a longer stroll. Refreshments and nibbles will be served - feel free to bring something along to contribute. Also do bring along any plants you have that you might want to sell on or swap (we will have a stall for this).
We have seating dotted around the garden but feel free to bring your own comfy fold up chair too! (guests are welcome to stay on afterwards for a walk to the local Rockland St Mary Community Reserve or Wheatfen Nature Reserve and Teles Patisserie nearby, see info and links.
